Hay Distribution & Delivery Service Policies

distribution location policy

  1. Service Hours

    • Service hours for each location are posted on our website.

    • Days and hours of operation are subject to change.

  2. Location Closures

    • A location is subject to last-minute closure due to unforeseen circumstances.

  3. Price and Availability

    • Prices and product availability are subject to change without notice.

    • Bale weights are an average weight of the bales and are not guaranteed to be exact.

  4. Right to Refuse Service

    • We reserve the right to refuse service to any customer.

  5. Loading Policies

    • Miles Hay Farms, any of their employees and/or representatives, and the property owners of our distribution locations are NOT RESPONSIBLE for any damages to any person, vehicle, trailer, and/or personal property during loading or unloading.

    • Loading is a complementary service we provide. Anyone may decline this service.

    • You are welcome to load yourself, by hand, at your own risk.

    • We are happy to assist in tying down your load but do not assume any liability for securement.

delivery policy

  1. Delivery Location Requirements

    • The delivery location must be able to accommodate our delivery truck or box van and equipment. Adequate turnaround space and safe conditions are required.

    • Customers are responsible for ensuring the delivery site is accessible and suitable for our equipment. Additional charges may apply if the site is not suitable or accessible.

    • Please note that our delivery equipment is heavy and requires adequate space. Miles Hay Farms is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any damages to any person, vehicle, trailer, and/or personal property resulting from customer negligence, including misjudging the conditions of their delivery site.

  2. Payment Requirements

    • Shipping charges must be paid prior to delivery.

    • Payment for hay must be received upon signature of the inspection form.

  3. Inspection Upon Delivery

    • Please inspect your hay at the time of delivery. If you are not satisfied with the quality, you may exchange it or refuse the delivery.

    • Customers must sign a form indicating they accept the hay as is upon inspection.

    • Once the hay inspection is complete and the form is signed, returns will not be accepted.

  4. Delivery Charges

    • Delivery charges are non-refundable under any circumstances and must be paid even if the hay is returned.

  5. Unloading and Stacking

    • We offer unloading and stacking services upon delivery at a rate of $40 per hour per person.​

For Pick-Up Orders:

  1. Inspect Before You Leave

    • We encourage all customers to inspect their hay bales thoroughly before leaving our distribution site. This allows you to confirm the quality meets your expectations.

  2. Dissatisfied? Bring It Back

    • If you are unhappy with your hay after purchase, you must return the bale(s) to our distribution site within 7 days of purchase for a refund or exchange. Returns are not accepted beyond this time frame.

  3. Return Condition

    • Returned hay must be in the same condition as when purchased. We cannot accept returns for bales that have been opened or partially used.

For Delivered Orders:

  1. Inspect Upon Delivery

    • Please inspect your hay at the time of delivery. If you are not satisfied with the quality, you may exchange it or refuse the delivery. Customers must sign a form indicating they accept the hay as is upon inspection. Delivery costs are non-refundable and must still be paid.

    • Once the hay inspection is complete and the form is signed, returns will not be accepted.

payment policy

  1. Transition to Cash-Less Payments

    • We are transitioning to cash-less payments at our distribution locations effective February 1st, 2025.

  2. Accepted Payment Methods

    • We accept payment via Venmo, PayPal, or CashApp.

    • Card payments can be made through our website, with a 3% Card Processing Fee applied to the purchase price.

  3. Proof of Payment

    • Proof of payment must be provided at the time of delivery or loading.

  4. Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) Checks

    • There is a $50 fee for all NSF checks.
